Sabemos que o homem natural é incapaz de cumprir a vontade de Deus e, que apenas com o auxílio do Espírito Santo conseguirmos resistir as tentações e lutar contra o pecado. Após crer em Cristo como seu único e suficiente Senhor e Salvador, o Espírito Santo passa a habitar em cada crente individualmente.
Não vencemos as tentações na força, mas na fraqueza. Veja o que diz em 2ª Coríntios 12:9 “… A minha graça te basta, porque o meu poder se aperfeiçoa na fraqueza. …”. As dificuldades que o cristão passa ajudam a prepara-lo para vencer a luta entre o bem e o mal que ocorre dentro de cada um de nós todos os dias.
Portanto, para vencer as tentações, não se apoie na carne, que é FRACA, mas se apoie no Senhor. Quanto mais perto da luz, mais longe das trevas. Neste sentido, a leitura diária da Bíblia e a oração são as armas mais poderosas que Deus te deu. Use-as!

If the Flesh Is Weak, How Can I Be a Christian?
“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” – Matthew 26:41
We know that the natural man is incapable of fulfilling the will of God, and that only with the help of the Holy Spirit are we able to resist temptations and fight against sin. After believing in Christ as one’s only and sufficient Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in each believer individually.
We do not overcome temptations by strength, but through weakness. See what is written in 2 Corinthians 12:9: “…My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness…”. The difficulties that Christians face help prepare them to overcome the struggle between good and evil that takes place within each of us every day.
