Lemos na bíblia em 1ª Timóteo 5:20
“Aos que pecarem, repreende-os na presença de todos, para que também os outros tenham temor.”
Este versículo fala do cristão que, mesmo conhecendo a palavra de Deus, comete pecado. Alguns estudiosos afirmam que se refere diretamente aos presbíteros (líderes religiosos).
Alguns líderes afirmam que não devemos julgar, que não devemos repreender, que isso é com Deus e o pecador somente, mas, quando se trata de um cristão, ainda mais um líder, precisamos atentar para o que a bíblia orienta.
Não é qualquer pessoa que pode exortar ou repreender um cristão, ainda mais um líder que entrega sua vida para a obra de Deus. De acordo com a palavra de Deus, precisamos fazer isso primeiramente sozinhos, ou seja, você e a pessoa que pecou. Faça o alerta em amor, cite a bíblia e se coloque a disposição para ajudar o pecador a levantar. Não fale com mais ninguém, não espalhe a notícia, não cause escândalo.
Caso ele não aceite, leve outra pessoa de boa reputação com você e exorte (repreenda). Se ainda assim a pessoa não demonstrar indícios de arrependimento, aí sim, leve o assunto à congregação e, se necessário for, convide a pessoa a sair da comunhão com os irmãos para evitar desvirtuar outros.
Mas não se esqueça todos somos pecadores. Não caia na tentação de acreditar que você é melhor do que aquele que pecou. A diferença é que outras pessoas sabem do pecado dele.

Can I Rebuke the Sinner?
We read in the bible in 1st Timothy 5:20
“As for those who sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that others also may fear.”
This verse speaks of the Christian who, even knowing the word of God, commits sin. Some scholars claim that it refers directly to elders (religious leaders).
Some leaders say that we shouldn’t judge, that we shouldn’t rebuke, that this is with God and the sinner only, but when it comes to a Christian, let alone a leader, we need to pay attention to what the bible guides.
Not just any person can exhort or rebuke a Christian, even more so a leader who gives his life to the work of God. According to the word of God, we need to do this alone first, that is, you and the person who sinned. Make the alert in love, quote the bible and make yourself available to help the sinner get up. Don’t talk to anyone else, don’t spread the word, don’t cause a scandal.
If he doesn’t, take another person of good repute with you and exhort (rebuke). If the person still does not show signs of repentance, then take the matter to the congregation and, if necessary, invite the person to leave fellowship with the brothers to avoid misrepresenting others.
But don’t forget we are all sinners. Don’t be tempted to believe that you are better than the one who sinned. The difference is that other people know about his sin.

Zhè jié jīng wén tán dào jīdū tú, jíshǐ zhīdào shàngdì dehuà, yě huì fànzuì. Yīxiē xuézhě shēngchēng tā zhíjiē zhǐ zhǎnglǎo (zōngjiào lǐngxiù).
Yīxiē lǐngxiù shuō wǒmen bù yìng gāi pànduàn, wǒmen bù yìng gāi zébèi, zhè zhǐshì yǔ shàngdì hé zuìrén yǒuguān, dàn duìyú jīdū tú, gèng bùyòng shuō lǐngxiù, wǒmen xūyào zhùyì shèngjīng de zhǐdǎo.
Bùshì rènhé rén dōu kěyǐ quànmiǎn huò zébèi jīdū tú, gèng hékuàng shì yīgè wéi shàngdì de gōngzuò xiàn chū shēngmìng de lǐngxiù. Ànzhào shén dehuà, wǒmen xūyào xiān dāndú zuò zhè jiàn shì, yě jiùshì nǐ hé nàgè fànzuì de rén. Zài ài zhōng jǐngxǐng, yǐnyòng shèngjīng, ràng zìjǐ kěyǐ bāngzhù zuìrén qǐchuáng. Bùyào yǔ rènhé rén jiāotán, bùyào chuánbò xiāoxī, bùyào yǐnqǐ chǒuwén.
Rúguǒ tā bù zhèyàng zuò, qǐng dài shàng lìng yīgè yǒu míngwàng de rén bìng quàngào (zébèi). Rúguǒ cǐ rén réngrán méiyǒu huǐgǎi de jīxiàng, zé jiāng cǐ shì dài dào huìzhòng, rú yǒu bìyào, qǐng yāoqǐng cǐ rén líkāi yǔ xiōngdì de tuán qì, yǐmiǎn wù chuán tā rén.
Dàn bùyào wàngjì wǒmen dōu shì zuìrén. Bùyào shìtú xiāngxìn nǐ bǐ nàgè fànzuì de rén gèng hǎo. Bùtóng de shì, qítā rén zhīdào tā de zuì.
