Lemos na bíblia em 2ª Coríntios 6:14
“Não vos prendais a um jugo desigual com os infiéis; porque, que sociedade tem a justiça com a injustiça? E que comunhão tem a luz com as trevas?”
Martinho Lutero era um estudioso da Palavra de Deus extremamente empenhado em aprender e ensinar a vontade do Senhor para a humanidade. Ao constatar que a igreja católica estava se desvirtuando dos caminhos de Deus, criou 95 teses que mostravam os desvios comprovados na bíblia. A intenção dele era mostrar os erros esperando que a liderança da igreja enxergasse as heresias e se voltasse novamente para a verdade de Cristo.
Lutero foi chamado a Roma (Vaticano), para se explicar. Chegando na cidade viu a degradação e a heresia a céu aberto. indulgências cobradas para praticamente tudo. Liberar a alma de um parente do inferno tinha seu preço, casas de prostituição que funcionavam dia e noite para atender aos clérigos, entre outras abominações.
Obviamente Lutero foi perseguido e tentaram matá-lo por ter ido contra a igreja, mas conseguimos hoje ter acesso a Palavra de Deus o que antes, era somente para os estudiosos autorizados pela igreja.
Muitas vezes me perguntei porque Martinho Lutero não ficou na igreja católica e tentou lutar contra o desvirtuamento da igreja naquela época, mas a verdade é que ele tentou, durante anos a fio ensinar acerca da verdade e alertar sobre os erros que estavam sendo cometidos e o resultado foi a perseguição e a excomunhão dele.
Devemos entender que, sempre que formos defender a verdade seremos perseguidos e, devemos estar prontos para isso. Quem vive nas trevas se sente extremamente incomodado quando chega a luz.

Why didn't Luther stay in the Catholic Church?
We read in the Bible in 2 Corinthians 6:14

Martin Luther was a scholar of the Word of God who was extremely committed to learning and teaching the Lord’s will for mankind. Obviously Luther was persecuted and they tried to kill him for going against the church, but today we have access to the Word of God what was before, only for scholars authorized by the church.
I often wondered why Martin Luther did not stay in the Catholic church and tried to fight against the distortion of the church at that time, but the truth is that he tried for years to teach about the truth and to warn about the mistakes that were being made and the the result was his persecution and excommunication.
