“Não cuideis que vim trazer a paz à terra; não vim trazer paz, mas espada;” – Mateus 10:34
A primeira coisa a entender é que, como disse Jesus, ele não veio trazer a paz a terra, mas veio trazer a espada. Ou seja, esse sistema de mundo em que vivemos hoje é direcionado para beneficiar o ímpio e não o justo, portanto não podemos ter nossas esperanças no mundo e nem nas coisas que ele oferece (riquezas – fama – poder – etc.).
Onde depositar nossa confiança então? Veja o que diz em Provérbios 3:5 e 6 “Confie no Senhor de todo o seu coração e não se apoie em seu próprio entendimento; reconheça o Senhor em todos os seus caminhos, e ele endireitará a sua vida.”.
Se você está passando por dificuldades e confrontos, veja o que o Apóstolo Paulo diz em 2ª Coríntios 12:9 e 10 “E disse-me: A minha graça te basta, porque o meu poder se aperfeiçoa na fraqueza. De boa vontade, pois, me gloriarei nas minhas fraquezas, para que em mim habite o poder de Cristo. Por isso sinto prazer nas fraquezas, nas injúrias, nas necessidades, nas perseguições, nas angústias por amor de Cristo. Porque quando estou fraco então sou forte.”.
Se Deus é por nós, quem será contra nós? O que nos poderá fazer o homem quando o próprio Deus é quem nos sustenta?

Why Do I Pray for Peace but Only See War?
“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.” – Matthew 10:34
The first thing to understand is that, as Jesus said, He did not come to bring peace to the earth, but a sword. In other words, the world system we live in today is designed to benefit the wicked, not the righteous. Therefore, we cannot place our hopes in the world or in the things it offers (riches, fame, power, etc.).
So where should we place our trust? See what Proverbs 3:5–6 says: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
If you are going through difficulties and conflicts, see what the Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 12:9–10: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
If God is for us, who can be against us? What can man do to us when God Himself is the One who sustains us?

为什么我祷告求平安，却只看到战争？
“不要以为我来是要叫地上太平；我来并不是要叫地上太平，乃是要叫地上动刀兵。”——马太福音 10:34

既然神帮助我们，谁能敌挡我们呢？当神亲自扶持我们时，人还能对我们做什么呢？
