A Bíblia ensina que o pecado não é algo leve ou sem consequência. Ele separa o ser humano de Deus e produz morte espiritual. Desde o início, Deus deixou claro que o resultado do pecado seria a morte, e essa dívida precisava ser resolvida de forma justa. Veja o que diz em Ezequiel 18:4 “Eis que todas as almas são minhas; como a alma do pai, assim também a alma do filho é minha; a alma que pecar, essa morrerá.”.
Para que essa dívida fosse paga, era necessário um sacrifício perfeito. Nenhum ser humano pecador poderia fazer esse pagamento. Por isso, Jesus, totalmente inocente e sem pecado, ofereceu a própria vida em lugar da humanidade, cumprindo a justiça de Deus e revelando Seu amor. Veja o que diz em 1ª Pedro 2:22 “O qual não cometeu pecado, nem na sua boca se achou engano.”.
Assim como por um homem o pecado entrou no mundo, Deus decidiu trazer a solução também por meio de um homem, Jesus Cristo. Pela obediência e sacrifício de Cristo, o perdão foi oferecido a todos os que creem, restaurando aquilo que havia sido perdido. Veja o que diz em Romanos 5:19 “Porque, como pela desobediência de um só homem muitos foram feitos pecadores, assim pela obediência de um muitos serão feitos justos.”.

Why did Jesus have to die? Was there no other way?
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23
The Bible teaches that sin is not something light or without consequence. It separates human beings from God and produces spiritual death. From the beginning, God made it clear that the result of sin would be death, and this debt needed to be resolved justly. See what it says in Ezekiel 18:4: “Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
For this debt to be paid, a perfect sacrifice was necessary. No sinful human being could make this payment. Therefore, Jesus, being completely innocent and without sin, offered His own life in place of humanity, fulfilling God’s justice and revealing His love. See what it says in 1 Peter 2:22: “Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth.”
Just as sin entered the world through one man, God decided to bring the solution through one man as well, Jesus Christ.
