Infelizmente alguns usam o velho testamento para justificar algumas práticas que eram direcionadas apenas para o povo judeu e se prendem a regras da Lei judaica, esquecendo que somos salvos pela graça na fé em Cristo e que não dependemos da Lei.
Veja o que diz em Gálatas 5:1 “Estai, pois, firmes na liberdade com que Cristo nos libertou, e não torneis a colocar-vos debaixo do jugo da servidão.”.

Why Do Some Christians Use the Old Testament?
“These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.” – Colossians 2:17
The Old Testament speaks about the history of the Jewish people and how God dealt with them in that time. Knowing this history is certainly important, but we must focus on the central purpose of the Bible, which is Christ.
The Old Testament prophesies about Christ, and the New Testament reveals His coming.
Unfortunately, some use the Old Testament to justify certain practices that were directed only to the Jewish people and cling to the rules of the Jewish Law, forgetting that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ and that we do not depend on the Law.
See what Galatians 5:1 says: “Stand firm, therefore, in the freedom with which Christ has set us free, and do not be entangled again in a yoke of slavery.”
