A Bíblia apresenta algumas razões pelas quais alguns cristãos podem partir desta vida mais cedo do que se espera. Uma delas é o pecado para a morte. Quando alguém insiste em uma prática pecaminosa mesmo após várias oportunidades de arrependimento. Em João 9, ao ser questionado sobre o motivo de um homem nascer cego, Jesus explicou que não era culpa dele nem dos pais dele, mas aconteceu “para que se manifestem nele as obras de Deus”. Assim também, algumas perdas dolorosas permitem que Deus revele Sua glória, quer pela fé da família, pela transformação de vidas ao redor, ou por testemunhos poderosos que só surgem em meio ao sofrimento.
Por fim, alguns cristãos morrem cedo porque sua missão nesta terra foi concluída. O apóstolo Paulo declarou em 2ª Timóteo 4:7 “Combati o bom combate, acabei a carreira, guardei a fé.”. Há servos de Deus cuja vida, apesar de curta, cumpre plenamente o propósito que o Senhor determinou. Aos nossos olhos pode parecer cedo demais, mas aos olhos de Deus é o tempo perfeito.
Quando a carreira se completa, o Pai chama seus filhos para casa, onde não há mais dor, medo ou lágrimas – no paraíso – onde vamos nos encontrar um dia.

Why Do Some Christians Die Early?
“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” – Psalm 116:15
The Bible presents several reasons why some Christians may leave this life earlier than expected. One of them is the “sin unto death.” This occurs when someone persists in sinful behavior even after multiple opportunities to repent. A clear example is the case of Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5, who lied to the Holy Spirit and faced immediate judgment. We know that all sin leads to physical death, but this episode shows that God takes holiness seriously and, in some cases, acts with severe discipline.
Another reason is that God may use someone’s death or illness to glorify His name. In John 9, when questioned about why a man was born blind, Jesus explained that it was not because of his sin or his parents’ sin, but happened “so that the works of God might be displayed in him.” In the same way, some painful losses allow God to reveal His glory—through the family’s faith, transformed lives around them, or powerful testimonies that arise only in times of suffering.
Finally, some Christians die early because their mission on earth has been completed. The apostle Paul declared in 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” There are servants of God whose lives, though short, fully accomplish the purpose the Lord intended. In our eyes it may seem too soon, but in God’s eyes it is the perfect time.
When the race is finished, the Father calls His children home, where there is no more pain, fear, or tears—in paradise—where we will one day meet again.
