Lemos na bíblia em João 16:33
“Tenho-vos dito isto, para que em mim tenhais paz; no mundo tereis aflições, mas tende bom ânimo, eu venci o mundo.”
Enquanto muitos se preocupam em lutar para que um crime hediondo como assassinato, tortura ou estupro, não seja punido com pena de morte, acreditando que seria algo muito “brutal” a ser feito com um ser humano, quantos estão se preocupando com a vida da vítima?
Vítimas de tortura e estupro, quando vivem, ficam marcadas para o resto de suas vidas. Algumas vítimas de estupro tem que viver inclusive com a gestação de uma criança fruto deste crime. Quem pensa nas vítimas? Quando sofremos com as mazelas da sociedade, fome, pobreza, doenças, chego a pensar que, pior do que a pena de morte é a pena de vida. A pena de morte impõe o fim do sofrimento sendo que, o criminoso não terá de ficar anos atrás das grades sendo privado de sua liberdade; não passará fome; não terá mais de lidar com problemas emocionais. Enquanto a vítima está condenada a manter vivos em sua memória os momentos de terror que viveu até o momento de sua morte.
Para as vítimas, saibam que Jesus Cristo entende seu sofrimento. Cristo foi vítima de torturas inomináveis; chicotadas que abriram sua carne; socos, pontapés, cuspe na cara, foi traído por pessoas próximas a ele; pregado numa cruz; humilhado para que, os que sofrem tenham consolo. Porque no mundo teremos aflições mas, Cristo venceu o mundo e um dia, esta vitória também será nossa. O choro pode durar uma noite mas, a alegria virá pela manhã.

Death Penalty or Life Penalty?
We read in the bible in John 16:33
“I have told you this, that you may have peace in me; in the world you will have afflictions, but be of good cheer, I have conquered the world.”
While many are concerned about fighting for a heinous crime such as murder, torture or rape not to be punished with the death penalty, believing that it would be something very “brutal” to be done with a human being, how many are worrying about the life of the victim?
Victims of torture and rape, when they live, are scarred for the rest of their lives. Some rape victims have to live even with the pregnancy of a child as a result of this crime. Who thinks about the victims? When we suffer from the ills of society, hunger, poverty, disease, I come to think that, worse than the death penalty is the life penalty. The death penalty imposes the end of suffering and the criminal will not have to stay years behind bars being deprived of his freedom; you will not go hungry; you will no longer have to deal with emotional problems. While the victim is condemned to keep alive in his memory the moments of terror he lived until the moment of his death.
For the victims, know that Jesus Christ understands their suffering. Christ was the victim of unspeakable tortures; lashes that split his flesh; punches, kicks, spit in the face, was betrayed by people close to him; nailed to a cross; humiliated so that those who suffer may have comfort. Because in the world we will have afflictions, but Christ conquered the world and one day, this victory will also be ours. Crying may last a night, but joy will come in the morning.

死刑還是無期徒刑？
Sǐxíng háishì wúqí túxíng?
我們在聖經中讀到約翰福音 16:33
“我已經告訴你了，你可以在我裡面有平安；在世上你會有苦難，但你要高興，我已經征服了世界。”
雖然許多人擔心為諸如謀殺、酷刑或強姦等令人髮指的罪行而戰而不會被判處死刑，認為對一個人做這件事是非常“殘忍”的，但有多少人擔心受害者的生活？

Suīrán xǔduō rén dānxīn wèi zhūrú móushā, kùxíng huò qiángjiān děng lìng rén fàzhǐ de zuìxíng ér zhàn ér bù huì bèi pànchǔ sǐxíng, rènwéi duì yīgèrén zuò zhè jiàn shì shì fēicháng “cánrěn” de, dàn yǒu duōshǎo rén dānxīn shòuhài zhě de shēnghuó?
Kùxíng hé qiángjiān de shòuhài zhě, zài tāmen huózhe de shíhòu, tāmen de yúshēng dūhuì shānghén lěilěi. Yóuyú zhè zhǒng zuìxíng, yīxiē qiángjiān shòuhài zhě shènzhì bùdé bùzài huái yǒu háizi de qíngkuàng xià shēnghuó. Shuí wèi shòuhài zhě kǎolǜ? Dāng wǒmen zāoshòu shèhuì de bìbìng, jī’è, pínkùn, jíbìng zhī kǔ shí, wǒ kāishǐ rènwéi, bǐ sǐxíng gèng zāogāo de shì zhōngshēn jiānjìn. Sǐxíng qiángjiāle tòngkǔ de zhōngjié, jí zuìfàn jiāng bùbì zài bèi bōduó zìyóu de qíngkuàng xià bèi guānyā duōnián; nǐ bù huì āi è; nǐ jiāng bù zài xūyào chǔlǐ qíngxù wèntí. Suīrán shòuhài zhě zhùdìng yào zài tā de jìyì zhōng huózhe, dàn tā yīzhí huó dào tā qùshì dì nà yīkè.
Duìyú shòuhài zhě, yào zhīdào yēsū jīdū liǎojiě tāmen de tòngkǔ. Jīdū shì wúfǎ xíngróng de zhémó de shòuhài zhě; liè kāi tā ròutǐ de jiémáo; quán dǎjiǎo tī, tǔkǒu shuǐ, bèi qīnjìn de rén chūmài; dīng zài shízìjià shàng; xiūrù, shǐ shòukǔ de rén dédào ānwèi. Yīnwèi zài shìshàng wǒmen huì yǒu kǔnàn, dàn jīdū zhēngfúle shìjiè, zǒng yǒu yītiān, zhè chǎng shènglì yě jiāng shǔyú wǒmen. Kūqì kěnéng chíxù yīyè, dàn kuài yuè huì zài zǎochén dàolái.

Wǒmen kěyǐ suíshí jìnrù shàngdì de miànqián, wèntí shì: Nǐ zhǔnbèi hǎole ma? Nǐ shìfǒu xiāngxìn jīdū shì nǐ wéiyī hè zúgòu de jiù zhǔ? Zhè yīnggāi shì nín zuì guānxīn de wèntí.
Wǒ xiǎng bāngzhù nǐ liǎojiě shàngdì duì nǐ shēngmìng de zhǐyì. Zài cǐ yèmiàn de dǐngbù huò dǐbù, yǒu yīgè “liánxì fāngshì” liànjiē, nín kěyǐ zài báitiān huò wǎnshàng de rènhé shíjiān xiàng wǒ fāsòng xiāoxī, yǐjí qídǎo qǐngqiú huò rènhé shèngyú wèntí.
