O óleo da unção era usado no velho testamento por determinação de Deus ao povo de Israel. Não há nenhuma citação bíblica para usar óleo de unção ungindo objetos ou pessoas para conseguir bênçãos da parte de Deus. Veja o que diz em Êxodo 30:31-33 “Diga aos israelitas: Este será o meu óleo sagrado para as unções, … Não o derramem sobre nenhum outro homem, e não façam nenhum outro óleo com a mesma composição. … Quem fizer óleo como esse ou usá-lo em alguém que não seja sacerdote, será eliminado do meio do seu povo.”.
Esta prática religiosa é copiada de seitas que não tem qualquer fundamento na Palavra de Deus. Trata-se apenas de superstição e venda de materiais com o objetivo comercial apenas.
Transferir para objetos aquilo que devemos esperar somente de Deus é idolatria. Veja o alerta que temos em 1ª Timóteo 4:1 “Nos últimos tempos alguns apostatarão da fé, dando ouvidos a espíritos enganadores e a doutrinas de demônios.”.
A Bíblia deixa claro que o poder, a proteção e as bênçãos vêm exclusivamente de Deus, e não de objetos ou elementos materiais. O óleo, no Antigo Testamento, era apenas um símbolo apontando para a presença do Espírito Santo — não possuía poder em si mesmo. Hoje, em Cristo, temos acesso direto ao Pai, e é a fé, não símbolos, que move a mão de Deus como vemos em Hebreus 11:6.
Portanto, o cristão maduro busca o Senhor na oração, na leitura da Palavra (bíblia) e na obediência, sabendo que a verdadeira unção vem do Espírito Santo como vemos em 1ª João 2:27, e não de qualquer objeto físico.

Does Anointing Oil Work?
“These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.” — Colossians 2:17
The anointing oil was used in the Old Testament by God’s command to the people of Israel. There is no biblical instruction to use anointing oil on objects or people in order to obtain blessings from God. See what Exodus 30:31–33 says: “Say to the Israelites: ‘This is to be my sacred anointing oil… Do not pour it on anyone else’s body and do not make any other oil using the same formula… Whoever makes perfume like it and puts it on anyone other than a priest must be cut off from their people.’”
This religious practice is copied from sects that have no foundation in the Word of God. It is nothing more than superstition and the commercial sale of materials for profit.
Transferring to objects what we should expect only from God is idolatry. See the warning in 1 Timothy 4:1: “In later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.”
The Bible clearly teaches that power, protection, and blessings come exclusively from God, not from objects or material elements. The oil in the Old Testament was only a symbol pointing to the presence of the Holy Spirit — it had no power in itself. Today, in Christ, we have direct access to the Father, and it is faith — not symbols — that moves the hand of God, as we see in Hebrews 11:6.
Therefore, a mature Christian seeks the Lord in prayer, in reading the Word (the Bible), and in obedience, knowing that true anointing comes from the Holy Spirit, as we see in 1 John 2:27, and not from any physical object.
