“E eu, em verdade, vos batizo com água, para o arrependimento; mas aquele que vem após mim é mais poderoso do que eu; cujas alparcas não sou digno de levar; ele vos batizará com o Espírito Santo, e com fogo.”
Ser batizado é algo fantástico, simplesmente divide nossa vida em duas partes, antes do batismo e depois do batismo, porém, nem todos, recebendo o Espírito Santo sobre si, passarão imediatamente a falar em outras línguas ou a curar ou a manifestar qualquer poder ou dom do Espírito Santo.
Aprendemos com a Bíblia que Deus dá a quem lhe apraz, leia 1ª Corintios 12:1-12
“Acerca dos dons espirituais, não quero, irmãos, que sejais ignorantes. Vós bem sabeis que éreis gentios, levados aos ídolos mudos, conforme éreis guiados. Portanto, vos quero fazer compreender que ninguém que fala pelo Espírito de Deus diz: Jesus é anátema, e ninguém pode dizer que Jesus é o Senhor, senão pelo Espírito Santo. Ora, há diversidade de dons, mas o Espírito é o mesmo. E há diversidade de ministérios, mas o Senhor é o mesmo. E há diversidade de operações, mas é o mesmo Deus que opera tudo em todos. Mas a manifestação do Espírito é dada a cada um, para o que for útil. Porque a um pelo Espírito é dada a palavra da sabedoria; e a outro, pelo mesmo Espírito, a palavra da ciência; E a outro, pelo mesmo Espírito, a fé; e a outro, pelo mesmo Espírito, os dons de curar; E a outro a operação de maravilhas; e a outro a profecia; e a outro o dom de discernir os espíritos; e a outro a variedade de línguas; e a outro a interpretação das línguas. Porque, assim como o corpo é um, e tem muitos membros, e todos os membros, sendo muitos, são um só corpo, assim é Cristo também.“
É importante saber que não existe um padrão aqui, ou seja, faça isto e você falará em línguas estranhas ou receberá fogo vindo dos céus. Alguns receberão e outros não. Os que receberem dons e poderes advindos de Deus devem utilizá-lo em prol do cumprimento da vontade de Deus e só. Os que não receberem poder da parte de Deus devem compreender que precisam pregar o evangelho através de sua voz e de seu testemunho de vida, ou seja, todos nós temos uma função a ser executada em vida.

What is Baptism with the Holy Spirit?
We read in the Bible in Matthew 3:11
“And I, indeed, baptize you with water, for repentance; but he who comes after me is more powerful than me; whose shoes I am not worthy to take; he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and with fire. ”
Being baptized is something fantastic, it simply divides our life into two parts, before baptism and after baptism, however, not everyone, receiving the Holy Spirit over themselves, will immediately start speaking in other languages or to heal or manifest any power or gift of the Holy Spirit.
We learn from the Bible that God gives to those who please him, read 1st Corinthians 12: 1-12
“Regarding spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant. You well know that you were Gentiles, taken to dumb idols, as you were guided. Therefore, I want to make you understand that no one who speaks by the Spirit of God says: Jesus is anathema, and no one can say that Jesus is the Lord, except by the Holy Spirit. Now, there are diversity of gifts, but the Spirit is the same. And there are different ministries, but the Lord is the same. And there is a diversity of operations, but it is the same God who works everything in everyone. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one, for whatever is useful. For to one by the Spirit the word of wisdom is given; and to another, by the same Spirit, the word of science; And to another, by the same Spirit, faith; and to another, by the same Spirit, the gifts of healing; And to another the operation of wonders; and to another the prophecy; and to another, the gift of discerning spirits; and to another the variety of languages; and to another, the interpretation of languages. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, sharing each one particularly as he wishes. Because, just as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members, being many, are one body, so is Christ too. “
