Lemos na bíblia em Mateus 5:44
“Eu, porém, vos digo: Amai a vossos inimigos, bendizei os que vos maldizem, fazei bem aos que vos odeiam, e orai pelos que vos maltratam e vos perseguem; para que sejais filhos do vosso Pai que está nos céus;”
Vi recentemente uma pergunta acerca do cristão se envolver com lutas marciais de forma a buscarem títulos em batalhas sangrentas que desfiguram seus oponentes. A pergunta era sobre os lutadores de MMA ou Vale Tudo, que agradecem a Deus após ganharem suas lutas no octógono.
Imagina a seguinte situação: Você acaba de desfigurar seu oponente, ainda está com o sangue dele em suas mãos, ele desmaiado ao seu lado no ringue e, você ajoelha e agradece a Deus? Será que sou só eu que vejo algo estranho aqui?
Nunca fui contra as artes marciais, aliás, foi com elas que aprendi a me defender e ter mais disciplina. Creio que a utilidade das artes marciais tem seu fim na defesa e auto disciplina como já disse, o que vier além disso deve ser analisado com cuidado à luz da Palavra de Deus.
Como posso dizer que amo meu próximo se acabei de tentar matá-lo no ringue? Fazem isso por entretenimento e por quantias absurdas de dinheiro. Alguns morrem no processo e muitos outros ficam com sequelas para o resto de suas vidas. Posso afirmar que Deus não está nisso e, desfigurar seu próximo num ringue é contra a vontade de Deus sem sombra de dúvidas.
Se você discorda, dê uma olhada nas lutas de MMA e nos campeonatos de lutas. Qual o verdadeiro objetivo? Não é a glória e os títulos? Diante de Deus isso não tem valor algum.

We read in the bible in Matthew 5:44
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that mistreat you and persecute you; that ye may be children of your Father which is in heaven;”
I recently saw a question about Christians engaging in martial arts in order to seek titles in bloody battles that disfigure their opponents. The question was about MMA fighters or Vale Tudo, who thank God after winning their fights in the Octagon.
Imagine the following situation: You have just disfigured your opponent, you still have his blood on your hands, he passed out beside you in the ring, and you kneel down and thank God? Is it just me that sees something strange here?
I was never against the martial arts, in fact, it was with them that I learned to defend myself and have more discipline. I believe that the usefulness of martial arts ends in defense and self-discipline as I said, what goes beyond that must be carefully analyzed in the light of the Word of God.
How can I say I love my neighbor if I just tried to kill him in the ring? They do this for entertainment and absurd amounts of money. Some die in the process and many others are left with sequelae for the rest of their lives. I can say that God is not in it, and disfiguring your neighbor in a ring is against God’s will without a shadow of a doubt.
If you disagree, take a look at MMA fights and fight championships. What is the real purpose? Is not the glory and titles? Before God this is of no value.
