Throughout the centuries, the Jewish people have been repeatedly attacked by neighboring nations, facing wars, exiles, and great threats; yet, they have not been destroyed. The Bible explains this by showing that the preservation of Israel does not depend solely on military strength or human strategy, but on God’s faithfulness to His promises. Consider what is written in Jeremiah 30:11: “I am with you and will save you,’ declares the Lord. ‘Though I completely destroy all the nations among which I scattered you, I will not completely destroy you…’”
The fact is that Israel may be persecuted and attacked, but it will never be destroyed. As stated in Genesis 12:2-3: “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great… I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse.” Furthermore, Psalm 125:2 says: “As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore.”
