“Portanto ide, fazei discípulos de todas as nações, batizando-os em nome do Pai, e do Filho, e do Espírito Santo;”
O Batismo é uma bênção em nossas vidas, serve para selar simbolicamente nosso compromisso com Deus. Digo simbolicamente pois estamos enterrando o “velho homem” e renascendo para Deus quando nos batizamos.
A quantidade de água utilizada no batismo não é o que importa e nem faz diferença alguma. Imagine os milhões que foram batizados sem mergulhar totalmente o corpo em água ou que apenas foram aspergidos com poucas gotas de água. O que é verdadeiramente importante no batismo, é ser batizado em nome do Pai, do Filho e do Espírito Santo. Não é a quantidade de água que vai mudar a sua vida, mas as suas atitudes após esse compromisso com Deus.
Vale lembrar que a condição para ser salvo não é o batismo, é crer em Cristo como vemos em João 5:24 “Na verdade, na verdade vos digo que quem ouve a minha palavra, e crê naquele que me enviou, tem a vida eterna, e não entrará em condenação, mas passou da morte para a vida.”.

Should Baptism be by Immersion or by Sprinkling?
We read in the bible in Matthew 28:19
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit;”
Baptism is a blessing in our lives, it serves to symbolically seal our commitment to God. I say symbolically because we are burying the “old man” and being reborn to God when we are baptized.
The amount of water used in baptism is not what matters and does not make any difference. Imagine the millions who were baptized without fully immersing their bodies in water or were sprinkled with only a few drops of water. What is truly important in baptism is being baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It’s not the amount of water that will change your life, but your attitudes after this commitment to God.
It is worth remembering that the condition to be saved is not baptism, it is believing in Christ as we see in John 5:24 “Verily, verily, I say to you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life. , and will not come into condemnation, but has passed from death to life.”

我們在馬太福音 28:19 中讀到聖經
