“Orai sem cessar.” – 1ª Tessalonicenses 5:17
A Bíblia nos orienta a orar em todo o tempo e perseverar na oração. Mas algumas vezes vem a dúvida se estamos insistindo por algo que não deveríamos.
- Daniel orou por 21 dias até que viesse a resposta da parte de Deus – (Daniel 10:1-13);
- Jesus orou por 40 dias no deserto que o preparou para a tentação – (Mateus 4:1-11);
- José do Egito permaneceu fiel por cerca de 13 anos até ser elevado a Governador – (Gênesis 37-41);
A questão vai além do tempo e da quantidade, mas precisamos saber o quê pedir; como pedir para receber e, de que maneira este pedido deve ser feito. A bíblia nos orienta sobre estas três questões:
1 – O quê pedir?
- 1ª João 5:14 “E esta é a confiança que temos nele, que, se pedirmos alguma coisa, segundo a sua vontade, ele nos ouve.”.
2 – Pedir e receber.
- Tiago 4:3 “Quando pedem, não recebem, pois pedem por motivos errados, para gastar em seus prazeres.”.
3 – Como pedir?
- Filipenses 4:6 “Não estejais inquietos por coisa alguma; antes os vossos pedidos sejam em tudo conhecidos diante de Deus pela oração e súplica, com ação de graças.”.
Portanto, peça segundo a vontade de Deus; peça algo que possa abençoar outras pessoas além de você somente e, após pedir e suplicar, agradeça por tudo o que Deus já fez e pelo que Ele certamente ainda fará em sua vida.

In Prayer, How Can We Differentiate Stubbornness from Persistence?
“Pray without ceasing.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:17
The Bible instructs us to pray at all times and to persevere in prayer. However, at times, doubt arises as to whether we are insisting on something we should not be asking for.
Daniel prayed for 21 days until the answer came from God – (Daniel 10:1–13);
Jesus prayed for 40 days in the wilderness, which prepared Him for temptation – (Matthew 4:1–11);
Joseph of Egypt remained faithful for about 13 years until he was raised to Governor – (Genesis 37–41).
The issue goes beyond time and quantity; we must understand what to ask for, how to ask in order to receive, and in what manner the request should be made. The Bible guides us on these three points:
1 – What should we ask for?
1 John 5:14: “And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”
2 – Asking and receiving
James 4:3: “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.”
3 – How should we ask?
Philippians 4:6: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”
Therefore, ask according to God’s will; ask for something that can bless others and not only yourself; and after asking and supplicating, give thanks for everything God has already done and for what He will certainly still do in your life.

在祷告中，如何分辨固执与坚持？
“要不住地祷告。”——帖撒罗尼迦前书 5:17
圣经教导我们要随时祷告，并在祷告中持守忍耐。然而，有时我们会疑惑，自己是否正在坚持祈求一些本不该求的事情。

因此，要照着神的旨意祈求；要祈求那些不仅祝福自己，也能祝福他人的事情；在祈求和恳求之后，为神已经成就的一切，以及祂必将在你生命中继续成就的事献上感谢。
