“Sabe, porém, isto: que nos últimos dias sobrevirão tempos trabalhosos. Porque haverá homens amantes de si mesmos, avarentos, presunçosos, soberbos, blasfemos, desobedientes a pais e mães, ingratos, profanos,”
Em nossos tempos temos visto crescer cada vez mais um fenômeno que é a idolatria de si mesmo, ou seja, as pessoas estão cada vez mais preocupadas com a aparência de forma que, alguns arriscam até mesmo suas vidas em prol da estética.
Os idolatras do corpo estão morrendo. Dietas absurdas privações de vitaminas e proteínas essenciais para o corpo tem feito com que muitas pessoas cheguem aos hospitais em estado grave. Implantes de silicone, hidrogel e outras substâncias estão fazendo com que muitas pessoas apresentem reações que podem até matar, como temos visto ultimamente nos noticiários.
Afinal de contas, por qual motivo estamos cada vez mais preocupados com nossa aparência? Infelizmente o mundo tem enfatizado o parecer. Se você está fora do padrão de beleza estabelecido fica difícil até arrumar um emprego. Hoje em dia seu currículo não é mais suficiente, a beleza estética também é extremamente considerada. Mas o cristão verdadeiro não pode se curvar a idolatria da beleza.
Devemos lembrar que nosso corpo é templo do Espírito Santo e que devemos cuidar bem dele. Isto serve para todos nós. Tudo o que fazemos para prejudicar nosso corpo vai contra Deus. A priorização da estética passa uma visão superficial e falsa. Como cristãos não podemos nos dar o luxo de oferecer ao mundo um testemunho falso e danoso como este.

Idolatry of Himself
We read in the bible in 2nd Timothy 3: 1 and 2
“However, you know this: that in the last few days, laborious times will come. Because there will be men who love themselves, miserly, presumptuous, proud, blasphemous, disobedient to fathers and mothers, ungrateful, profane, ”
In our times we have seen an increasing phenomenon that is the idolatry of oneself, in other words, people are increasingly concerned with appearance so that, some even risk their lives for the sake of aesthetics.
The idolaters of the body are dying. Absurd diets deprivation of essential vitamins and proteins for the body has caused many people to come to hospitals in serious condition. Silicone implants, hydrogels and other substances are causing many people to experience reactions that can even kill, as we have seen lately in the news.
After all, why are we increasingly concerned about how we look? Unfortunately the world has emphasized the opinion. If you are out of the established beauty standard it is difficult to even get a job. Nowadays your resume is no longer enough, aesthetic beauty is also extremely considered. But the true Christian cannot bow to the idolatry of beauty.
We must remember that our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and that we must take good care of it. This is for all of us. Everything we do to harm our bodies goes against God. The prioritization of aesthetics gives a superficial and false view. As Christians, we cannot afford to offer the world such a false and damaging testimony.

Shēntǐ de ǒuxiàng chóngbài zhě kuài sǐle. Huāngmiù de yǐnshí bōduóle réntǐ bìxū de wéishēngsù hé dànbáizhí, zhè shǐ xǔduō rén bìngqíng yánzhòng. Zhèngrú wǒmen zuìjìn zài xīnwén zhòng kàn dào dì nàyàng, yǒujī xì zhí rù wù, shuǐ níng jiāo hé qítā wùzhí zhèngzài shǐ xǔduō rén jīnglì shènzhì kěyǐ shā sǐ de fǎnyìng.
Bìjìng, wèishéme wǒmen yuè lái yuè guānzhù zìjǐ de wàibiǎo? Bùxìng de shì, quán shìjiè dōu qiángdiàole zhè yī guāndiǎn. Rúguǒ nín chāochū jìdìng dì měiróng biāozhǔn, shènzhì hěn nán zhǎodào gōngzuò. Rújīn, nín de kèchéng yǐ bù zài zúgòu, hái fēicháng kǎolǜle měixué měigǎn. Dànshì, zhēnzhèng de jīdū tú bùnéng qūcóng yú měilì de ǒuxiàng chóngbài.
Wǒmen bìxū jì zhù, wǒmen de shēntǐ shì shènglíng de diàntáng, wǒmen bìxū hǎohǎo zhàogù tā. Zhè shì gěi wǒmen suǒyǒu rén de. Wǒmen wèi shānghài zìjǐ de shēntǐ suǒ zuò de yīqiè dōu wéibèile shàngdì. Měixué de yōuxiān kǎolǜ gěi chūle fūqiǎn hé cuòwù de guāndiǎn. Zuòwéi jīdū tú, wǒmen bùnéng wéi shìjiè tígōng rúcǐ xūjiǎ hé pòhuài xìng de zhèngcí.
