Todos os dias vemos notícias apavorantes do que as pessoas têm feito. Assassinatos, torturas, estupros, roubos, vinganças e por ai vai. Mas o mais triste disso não é a ação dos maus, mas o silêncio dos justos.
Assistimos a este tipo de coisa sem nos manifestarmos. Ficamos com medo se as pessoas vão nos achar chatos por falar nestes assuntos. Tudo o que está acontecendo agora já estava previsto na bíblia, as profecias se cumprem dia após dia e nós apenas citamos as notícias, sem falar o que a Palavra de Deus orienta acerca destas coisas.
Faz anos que assistimos a roubalheira dos governos em cima dos cidadãos, vemos a justiça blindar os que praticam os ilícitos e continuamos perdendo a oportunidade de dizer, por exemplo o que diz em 2ª Timóteo 3:1-5:
“Sabe, porém, isto: que nos últimos dias sobrevirão tempos trabalhosos. Porque haverá homens amantes de si mesmos, avarentos, presunçosos, soberbos, blasfemos, desobedientes a pais e mães, ingratos, profanos, Sem afeto natural, irreconciliáveis, caluniadores, incontinentes, cruéis, sem amor para com os bons, Traidores, obstinados, orgulhosos, mais amigos dos deleites do que amigos de Deus, Tendo aparência de piedade, mas negando a eficácia dela. Destes afasta-te.”
O mundo precisa de Deus, mas quem se prontifica a pregar? Quem se prontifica a abandonar suas vontades para fazer a vontade de Deus? Acho que é mais fácil dar dízimo e oferta e mandar alguém fazer por mim, mas até quando vamos achar que estamos certos pagando para outros fazerem o que é obrigação nossa?

While the Righteous Remain Silent, the Wicked Rule
“Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.” – 2 Timothy 4:2
Every day we see terrifying news about what people have done—murders, torture, rape, theft, revenge, and so on. But the saddest part of it all is not the action of the wicked, but the silence of the righteous.
We watch these things happen without speaking out. We fear that people will think we are annoying if we talk about these matters. Everything happening now was already foretold in the Bible; the prophecies are being fulfilled day after day, yet we only repeat the news without proclaiming what the Word of God teaches about these things.
For years we have witnessed the corruption of governments over citizens, we see justice shielding those who commit crimes, and we continue losing the opportunity to say, for example, what is written in 2 Timothy 3:1–5:
“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.”
The world needs God—but who is willing to preach? Who is willing to abandon their own desires to do the will of God? Perhaps it seems easier to give tithes and offerings and send someone else to do it for me, but until when will we think we are right by paying others to do what is our duty?
