E se eu Demorar para me Arrepender?

“Se confessarmos os nossos pecados, ele é fiel e justo para nos perdoar os pecados, e nos purificar de toda a injustiça.”. – 1ª João 1:9

Alguns pecados realmente demoramos para confessar a Deus. O arrependimento vem na hora mas podemos resistir a confessar.

Na bíblia vemos a história do rei Davi que adulterou com uma mulher casada, mandou matar o marido e demorou aproximadamente um ano, até que o profeta Natã lembrou-lhe de seu pecado e só então ele confessou a Deus e recebeu a recompensa pelo seu erro.

Veja o que diz em Salmos 32:3 “Enquanto escondi os meus pecados, o meu corpo definhava de tanto gemer.”.

Portanto, não espere sentir nada. Assim que pecar, confesse a Deus. Não importa quantas vezes isso acontecer. Deus é fiel e justo para perdoar.

And if I Delay to Repent?

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” – 1 John 1:9

Some sins we really take time to confess to God. Repentance may come immediately, but we can resist confessing.

In the Bible, we see the story of King David, who committed adultery with a married woman, ordered her husband’s death, and took about a year before the prophet Nathan reminded him of his sin. Only then did he confess to God and receive the consequence of his error.

See what it says in Psalm 32:3: “When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.”

Therefore, do not wait to feel something. As soon as you sin, confess it to God. It doesn’t matter how many times it happens. God is faithful and just to forgive.
