Na maioria das vezes que pedimos algo a Deus em oração estamos buscando unicamente a nossa vontade e ignorando a vontade de Deus. Isso acontece na maioria dos casos porque não temos o costume de ler a bíblia, pois lá está descrita a vontade de Deus.
A bíblia ensina que não vamos receber aquilo que pedimos para nosso benefício apenas como vemos em Tiago 4:3 “Quando pedem, não recebem, pois pedem por motivos errados, para gastar em seus prazeres.”. Porém, também ensina que devemos pedir algo que alcance outras pessoas e que o nome de Cristo seja glorificado por isso.
Portanto, tenha o costume de ler a bíblia diariamente e, após compreender qual é a boa, perfeita e agradável vontade do Senhor, você possa pedir em oração uma bênção que vai além da sua vida e poderá ajudar muitas outras pessoas.

What If the Blessing Doesn’t Come?
“For you have need of patience, that after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise.” – Hebrews 10:36
Most of the time when we ask God for something in prayer, we are seeking only our own will and ignoring God’s will. This happens in many cases because we are not in the habit of reading the Bible, where God’s will is revealed.
The Bible teaches that we will not receive what we ask for if it is only for our own benefit, as we see in James 4:3 — “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” However, it also teaches that we should ask for things that reach others and bring glory to the name of Christ.
Therefore, make it a habit to read the Bible daily, and after understanding what is the good, perfect, and pleasing will of the Lord, you may pray for a blessing that goes beyond your own life and can help many others.
