“And indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.” – 2 Timothy 3:12
Running away from the problem is not the answer. It must be clear to the people around you that you are a Christian and that you cannot negotiate the truth, regardless of what may happen. Remember that God is powerful enough to give us far more abundantly than all we ask or think—certainly more than a job or our provision.
That being said, it is true that we live in a world of darkness, and we are called to be light in the midst of that darkness. This will draw attention to us, and many things may happen; but remember that, many times, the only Bible people will ever read is our behavior as Christians. In other words, our life and conduct serve as an example through which many may come to Christ.
