A Palavra de Deus é viva e eficaz, não um livro de leitura e interpretação como outro qualquer. Experimente entregar um best seller motivacional e a bíblia para um mesmo grupo de 50 presos numa cadeia. Quantas vidas serão mudadas verdadeiramente pelo best seller motivacional e, quantas vidas serão mudadas verdadeiramente pela bíblia? Milhares de pessoas têm suas vidas transformadas pela palavra de Deus. Assassinos param de matar, viciados abandonam as drogas, famílias e relacionamentos são restaurados.
Encontramos consolo e confronto na bíblia, precisamos considerar os dois. Consolo quando estamos em dor e sofrimento. Não que a dor e o sofrimento vão sumir, mas temos a esperança de que a tribulação atual é momentânea, ou seja, é certo que teremos aflições, mas em Cristo teremos a vitória no final. E, encontramos confronto quando o ser humano é posto frente a frente com sua natureza de pecado. A bíblia alerta que o pecado gera morte, separação entre Deus e o homem e, desta forma, quando a luz se vai, as trevas passam a dominar.
Ler simplesmente a bíblia não trará o resultado que se espera, mas ler e praticar a palavra de Deus fará (no devido tempo) cumprir a vontade de Deus em nossas vidas. Não desista, você não está sozinho nesta luta. Veja o que diz em Hebreus 10:36 “Porque necessitais de paciência, para que, depois de haverdes feito a vontade de Deus, possais alcançar a promessa.”.

How Do I Make the Bible Work for Me?
We read in the bible in James 1:22
“And be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”
The Word of God is alive and effective, not a book of reading and interpretation like any other. Try delivering a motivational best seller and the bible to the same group of 50 prisoners in jail. How many lives will be truly changed by the motivational best seller, and how many lives will be truly changed by the bible? Thousands of people have their lives transformed by the word of God. Killers stop killing, addicts quit drugs, families and relationships are restored.
We find comfort and confrontation in the bible, we need to consider both. Comfort when we are in pain and suffering. Not that the pain and suffering will disappear, but we have the hope that the current tribulation is momentary, that is, it is certain that we will have afflictions, but in Christ we will have victory in the end. And, we find confrontation when the human being is brought face to face with his sin nature. The bible warns that sin generates death, separation between God and man and, in this way, when the light goes, darkness begins to dominate.
Simply reading the Bible will not bring the expected result, but reading and practicing the word of God will (in due course) fulfill God’s will in our lives. Don’t give up, you are not alone in this fight. See what it says in Hebrews 10:36, “For you need patience, so that, after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.”

Shàngdì de huàyǔ shì xiān huó ér yǒuxiào de, ér bùshì xiàng qítā rènhé yī běn yuèdú hé jiěshì de shū. Chángshì xiàng tóngyī zǔ 50 míng qiúfàn tígōng lìzhì chàngxiāo shū hé shèngjīng. Lìzhì chàngxiāo shū huì zhēnzhèng gǎibiàn duōshǎo shēngmìng, shèngjīng huì zhēnzhèng gǎibiàn duōshǎo shēngmìng? Shù yǐ qiān jì de rén de shēngmìng yīn shàngdì de huàyǔ ér gǎibiàn. Shāshǒu tíngzhǐ shālù, xīdú zhě jièdú, jiātíng hé guānxì dédào huīfù.
Wǒmen zài shèngjīng zhōng zhǎodào ānwèi hé duìkàng, wǒmen xūyào tóngshí kǎolǜ liǎng zhě. Dāng wǒmen zài tòngkǔ hé tòngkǔ zhòng shí dédào ānwèi. Bùshì shuō tòngkǔ hé kǔnàn huì xiāoshī, ér shì xīwàng xiànzài de huànnàn shì zhànshí de, jiùshì shuō wǒmen kěndìng huì yǒu huànnàn, dàn zài jīdū lǐ wǒmen zuìzhōng huì déshèng. Érqiě, dāng rénlèi yǔ tā de zuì xìng miànduìmiàn shí, wǒmen huì fāxiàn duìkàng. Shèngjīng jǐnggào shuō, zuì dǎozhì sǐwáng, shén yǔ rén zhī jiān de fēnlí, zhèyàng, dāng guāng xiāoshī shí, hēi’àn kāishǐ zhǔzǎi.
Jǐnjǐn yuèdú shèngjīng bù huì dài lái yùqí de jiéguǒ, dàn yuèdú hé shíjiàn shàngdì de huàyǔ huì (zài shìdàng de shíhòu) shíxiàn shàngdì zài wǒmen shēnghuó zhōng de zhǐyì. Bùyào fàngqì, zài zhè chǎng zhàndòu zhōng, nǐ bìng bù gūdān. Kàn kàn xī bó lái shū 10 zhāng 36 jié shì zěnme shuō de,“yīnwèi nǐmen xūyào rěnnài, zhèyàng nǐmen xíngle shén de zhǐyì zhīhòu, jiù kěyǐ dézháo yīngxǔ.”
