Tanto a religiosidade quanto o fanatismo são enganos que se originam na ignorância. Estes extremos se revelam quando desconhecemos a verdade do evangelho e optamos por seguir maus exemplos ou simplesmente nos tornarmos um.
O religioso é aquele que age como um fariseu, isto é, faz parecer que segue a risca e radicalmente os preceitos religiosos mas, quando ninguém está vendo, se revela quem é de verdade. O religioso tende a mostrar aos outros ser maior e melhor do que todos, precisa de atenção e de reconhecimento na maior parte do tempo, mas na verdade mente pra si mesmo e se engana acreditando que cumpre regras muitas vezes colocadas por homens que nada tem a ver com Deus.
O fanático é facilmente envolvido nos erros das religiões e se coloca a disposição para o que for, custe o que custar. Está disposto a morrer se for necessário pela causa sem ao menos questionar suas motivações e nem sequer buscar em Deus uma resposta. O fanático é fiel ao religioso que o comanda como um soldado que atende as ordens de seu oficial.
Ambos estão errados. Não devemos mostrar uma figura enganosa do que não somos apenas para ter glória para nós mesmos e, precisamos filtrar as informações que recebemos com o objetivo de termos uma motivação verdadeira para o que fazemos. A única forma de se libertar da religiosidade e do fanatismo é o conhecimento da verdade. Leia a bíblia e busque a Deus enquanto ainda se pode achar.

“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Both religiosity and fanaticism are mistakes that originate in ignorance. These extremes are revealed when we do not know the truth of the gospel and choose to follow bad examples or simply become one.
