Tiago 4:7 reforça: “Sujeitai-vos, pois, a Deus; resisti ao diabo, e ele fugirá de vós.” O cristão que se reveste da presença de Deus encontra forças para vencer as investidas malignas.

Has the Time Come for Christians to Awaken?
“Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” – Ephesians 5:14
The Bible warns us that we cannot live as if we were spiritually asleep. The apostle Paul declares in Romans 13:11-12: “The hour has come for you to wake from sleep… let us then cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.” The time is urgent, and every Christian is called to live as a child of light, rejecting all that belongs to darkness. When we remain silent or inactive in the face of lies and spiritual corruption, we give room for evil to advance.
The Word also shows us that we have a real enemy. In 1 Peter 5:8-9 it is written: “Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith.” This means we cannot be passive, but must stand firm. James 4:7 reinforces this: “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” The Christian clothed in God’s presence finds strength to overcome evil attacks.
That is why Ephesians 6:11-12 calls us to put on the whole armor of God, for our struggle is not against people but against “the spiritual forces of evil.” And Ephesians 5:14 repeats: “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” This is the time to wake up, take action, and be light. The world needs to see in us the victory of Christ. The devil may try to sow lies and darkness, but only the children of light can bring forth the truth that transforms. The Truth is Christ!
