Dando continuidade a nossa série de breves artigos acerca dos alertas que o livro de Apocalipse nos traz, vamos tentar compreender agora o que exatamente ocorre com a abertura do segundo selo e o que devemos esperar.
Como eu já disse todo o livro de apocalipse trata de um alerta que Deus dá a humanidade acerca das coisas que em breve veremos acontecer logo, temos a oportunidade de – ao analisar este alerta – mudar a direção das nossas vidas com base na orientação da Palavra de Deus.
Estudiosos afirmam que a retirada do segundo selo não trata apenas de conflitos a nível mundial entre nações, o que aliás já vemos acontecer em grande escala no mundo hoje, mas pode indicar um tipo de guerra silenciosa, ou seja, que as pessoas estão se matando por dinheiro, poder e status.
Vemos uma declaração de Jesus que diz que no final dos tempos uns se levantariam contra os outros, pais contra filhos e filhos contra pais, nação contra nação. Diz ainda que as pessoas seriam amantes de si mesmas, preocupadas em atender suas próprias vontades, amigas de seus desejos e inimigas de Deus.
Vivemos um momento em que o ter está acima do ser. O consumismo desenfreado faz com que pessoas cheguem a passar necessidade para ter o mais novo celular; a comprar um tênis que custa mais do que uma geladeira.
As guerras declaradas (Rússia e Ucrânia – Israel e Irã – China e Taiwan), bem como o comportamento atual do ser humano, são apenas indícios de que o segundo selo já foi retirado. Infelizmente muito mais está por vir. Continue para saber o que ocorrerá com a retirada do próximo selo.

Revelation: The SECOND Seal – What Should We Expect?
“Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword.” – Revelation 6:4
Continuing our series of brief articles on the warnings that the book of Revelation brings us, let’s now try to understand exactly what happens with the opening of the second seal and what we should expect.
As I have already said, the entire book of Revelation serves as a warning from God to humanity about the things that we will soon witness. Therefore, we have the opportunity — by analyzing this warning — to change the direction of our lives based on the guidance of God’s Word.
Scholars claim that the removal of the second seal does not refer only to global conflicts between nations, which we already see happening on a large scale today, but may also indicate a type of silent war — people killing each other for money, power, and status.
Jesus declared that in the end times, people would rise up against one another — parents against children and children against parents, nation against nation. He also said that people would be lovers of themselves, concerned only with satisfying their desires, friends of their passions, and enemies of God.
We live in a time where having outweighs being. Uncontrolled consumerism leads people to go without basic needs just to buy the latest smartphone — or spend more on sneakers than on a refrigerator.
Declared wars (Russia and Ukraine – Israel and Iran – China and Taiwan), as well as current human behavior, are clear signs that the second seal may have already been opened. Unfortunately, much more is to come. Keep reading to learn what happens when the next seal is broken.
