Lemos na bíblia em 2ª Coríntios 12:7
“E, para que não me exaltasse pela excelência das revelações, foi-me dado um espinho na carne, a saber, um mensageiro de Satanás para me esbofetear, a fim de não me exaltar.”
Os milagres e manifestações que eram operados através do Apóstolo Paulo eram tão grandes, que os poderosos da terra conheciam a sua fama antes mesmo dele chegar nas cidades. Em uma ocasião Paulo não pode ir ao local onde havia uma pessoa enferma e pediu apenas que levasse o seu lenço que, colocado sobre o enfermo, traria a cura, conforme vemos no relato de atos 19:11 e 12.
As revelações que eram dadas a Paulo eram tamanhas e sua missão tão fabulosa que Deus julgou necessário colocar um espinho na carne de Paulo para que ele não se ensoberbecesse e acreditasse que ele mesmo era a fonte de todo este poder.
Paulo orou por três vezes para que Deus tirasse este espinho de sua carne, mas Deus aumentou a graça para que Paulo resistisse ao espinho e permanecesse em sua missão sem se exaltar em vista do poder de Deus que estava operando nele.
É claro que não sabemos exatamente como esse espinho funcionava, mas sabemos que muitas vezes Deus nos usa para operar milagres na vida das pessoas e, muitas vezes, um simples aperto de mão já nos deixa convencidos de que somos muito importantes por conta disso.
O poder de Deus opera em nós e, apesar de nós. Somos apenas instrumentos nas mãos de Deus, se nós nos calarmos as pedras clamarão. Pense nisso!

Why did Paul have a Thorn in the Flesh?
We read in the bible in 2nd Corinthians 12:7
“And lest he exalt me by the excellency of revelations, I was given a thorn in the flesh, namely, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that he might not exalt me.”
The miracles and manifestations that were wrought through the Apostle Paul were so great that the mighty of the earth knew his fame even before he arrived in the cities. On one occasion Paul could not go to the place where there was a sick person and asked only to take his handkerchief which, placed on the sick person, would bring healing, as we see in the account of acts 19:11 and 12.
The revelations that were given to Paul were such and his mission so fabulous that God deemed it necessary to put a thorn in Paul’s flesh so that he would not become puffed up and believe that he himself was the source of all this power.
Paul prayed three times that God would take this thorn out of his flesh, but God increased the grace so that Paul would resist the thorn and remain in his mission without exalting himself in view of the power of God that was working in him.
Of course, we don’t know exactly how this thorn worked, but we do know that God often uses us to work miracles in people’s lives and, many times, a simple handshake already makes us convinced that we are very important because of this.
The power of God works in us and in spite of us. We are just instruments in the hands of God, if we keep silent the stones will cry out. Think about it!

為什麼保羅的肉身有刺？
Wèishéme bǎoluó dì ròushēn yǒu cì?
我們在聖經中讀到哥林多後書 12:7
“為了免得他因啟示的卓越而高舉我，我被賦予了肉中刺，即撒旦的使者來毆打我，以免他高舉我。”
通過使徒保羅所行的神蹟和彰顯是如此之大，以至於地上的強者甚至在他到達城市之前就已經知道他的名聲。有一次，保羅不能去有病人的地方，只要求拿他的手帕，放在病人身上，會帶來醫治，正如我們在使徒行傳 19:11 和 12 的記載中所見。
給保羅的啟示是如此之多，而他的使命是如此美妙，以至於上帝認為有必要在保羅的肉體上插一根刺，這樣他才不會自大，並相信他自己就是這一切力量的源頭。
保羅三度禱告求神從他的肉體中取下這根刺，但神加增了恩典，使保羅能抵擋這刺，繼續他的使命，不因神在他身上工作的能力而高舉自己。
當然，我們並不確切知道這根刺是如何工作的，但我們確實知道上帝經常使用我們在人們的生活中創造奇蹟，很多時候，一個簡單的握手就已經讓我們相信我們因此而變得非常重要。
上帝的力量在我們身上運作，儘管我們不顧。我們只是上帝手中的工具，如果我們保持沉默，石頭會哭出來。想想看！

Tōngguò shǐtú bǎoluó suǒ xíng de shén jī hé zhāngxiǎn shì rúcǐ zhī dà, yǐ zhìyú dìshàng de qiángzhě shènzhì zài tā dàodá chéngshì zhīqián jiù yǐjīng zhīdào tā de míngshēng. Yǒu yīcì, bǎoluó bùnéng qù yǒu bìngrén dì dìfāng, zhǐ yāoqiú ná tā de shǒupà, fàng zài bìngrén shēnshang, huì dài lái yīzhì, zhèngrú wǒmen zài shǐtú xíng chuán 19:11 Hé 12 de jìzǎi zhōng suǒjiàn.
Gěi bǎoluó dì qǐshì shì rúcǐ zhī duō, ér tā de shǐmìng shì rúcǐ měimiào, yǐ zhìyú shàngdì rènwéi yǒu bìyào zài bǎoluó dì ròutǐ shàng chā yī gēn cì, zhèyàng tā cái bù huì zì dà, bìng xiāngxìn tā zìjǐ jiùshì zhè yīqiè lìliàng de yuántóu.
Bǎoluó sān dù dǎogào qiú shén cóng tā de ròutǐ zhōng qǔ xià zhè gēn cì, dàn shén jiā zēngle ēndiǎn, shǐ bǎoluó néng dǐdǎng zhè cì, jìxù tā de shǐmìng, bù yīn shén zài tā shēnshang gōngzuò de nénglì ér gāojǔ zìjǐ.
Dāngrán, wǒmen bìng bù quèqiè zhīdào zhè gēn cì shì rúhé gōngzuò de, dàn wǒmen quèshí zhīdào shàngdì jīngcháng shǐyòng wǒmen zài rénmen de shēnghuó zhōng chuàngzào qíjī, hěnduō shíhòu, yīgè jiǎndān de wòshǒu jiù yǐjīng ràng wǒmen xiāngxìn wǒmen yīncǐ ér biàn dé fēicháng zhòngyào.
Shàngdì de lìliàng zài wǒmen shēnshang yùnzuò, jǐnguǎn wǒmen bùgù. Wǒmen zhǐshì shàngdì shǒuzhōng de gōngjù, rúguǒ wǒmen bǎochí chénmò, shítou huì kū chūlái. Xiǎng xiǎng kàn!

Wǒmen kěyǐ suíshí jìnrù shàngdì de miànqián, wèntí shì: Nǐ zhǔnbèi hǎole ma? Nǐ shìfǒu xiāngxìn jīdū shì nǐ wéiyī hè zúgòu de jiù zhǔ? Zhè yīnggāi shì nín zuì guānxīn de wèntí.
Wǒ xiǎng bāngzhù nǐ liǎojiě shàngdì duì nǐ shēngmìng de zhǐyì. Zài cǐ yèmiàn de dǐngbù huò dǐbù, yǒu yīgè “liánxì fāngshì” liànjiē, nín kěyǐ zài báitiān huò wǎnshàng de rènhé shíjiān xiàng wǒ fāsòng xiāoxī, yǐjí qídǎo qǐngqiú huò kěnéng cúnzài de rènhé wèntí.
