“E, chamando dez servos seus, deu-lhes dez minas, e disse-lhes: Negociai até que eu venha.”
A depressão pode ser a consequência de alguma disfunção química do nosso organismo e, por isso é importante procurar auxílio médico para reorganizar esse equilíbrio ou moderar alguma taxa hormonal possivelmente.
Nós que temos a certeza da nossa salvação, e que em breve vamos embarcar para a nossa viagem definitiva à viver com Cristo no paraíso para sempre, temos a urgência de fazer como o Senhor dos dez servos os orientou. Temos uma função urgente enquanto estamos aqui, um trabalho. Precisamos pregar o evangelho até que Cristo volte – o que pode ocorrer a qualquer momento.
Como uma pessoa que está prestes a pegar um avião e se lembra de que precisa comprar presentes para aqueles que ama, não tem tempo para qualquer outra distração. Pense na ansiedade dessa pessoa em chegar em casa, contar da viagem e entregar os presentes. Assim somos nós, prestes a nos encontrar com Cristo, precisamos levar a mensagem da salvação para aqueles que nós amamos e, temos pouco tempo pra isso, portanto precisamos por as mãos na massa e iniciar já.
Veja o que Jeremias fala (em nome de Deus) para aqueles judeus que estavam presos como escravos na terra da babilônia sem qualquer esperança. Jeremias 29:4-14
“Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel, a todos os do cativeiro, os quais fiz transportar de Jerusalém para babilônia: Edificai casas e habitai-as; e plantai jardins, e comei o seu fruto. Tomai mulheres e gerai filhos e filhas, e tomai mulheres para vossos filhos, e dai vossas filhas a maridos, para que tenham filhos e filhas; e multiplicai-vos ali, e não vos diminuais. E procurai a paz da cidade, para onde vos fiz transportar em cativeiro, e orai por ela ao Senhor; porque na sua paz vós tereis paz. Porque assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Não vos enganem os vossos profetas que estão no meio de vós, nem os vossos adivinhos, nem deis ouvidos aos vossos sonhos, que sonhais; Porque eles vos profetizam falsamente em meu nome; não os enviei, diz o Senhor. Porque assim diz o SENHOR: Certamente que passados setenta anos em babilônia, vos visitarei, e cumprirei sobre vós a minha boa palavra, tornando a trazer-vos a este lugar. Porque eu bem sei os pensamentos que tenho a vosso respeito, diz o Senhor; pensamentos de paz, e não de mal, para vos dar o fim que esperais. Então me invocareis, e ireis, e orareis a mim, e eu vos ouvirei. E buscar-me-eis, e me achareis, quando me buscardes com todo o vosso coração. E serei achado de vós, diz o Senhor, e farei voltar os vossos cativos e congregar-vos-ei de todas as nações, e de todos os lugares para onde vos lancei, diz o Senhor, e tornarei a trazer-vos ao lugar de onde vos transportei.“
Acredito que assim podemos vencer a depressão.

How Can We Beat Depression?
We read in the Bible in Luke 19:13
“And calling ten of his servants, he gave them ten mines, and said to them, ‘Negotiate until I come.’
Depression can be the consequence of some chemical dysfunction in our organism and, therefore, it is important to seek medical help to reorganize this balance or possibly moderate some hormonal rate.
We who are sure of our salvation, and who will soon embark on our definitive journey to live with Christ in paradise forever, have the urgency to do as the Lord of the ten servants directed them. We have an urgent function while we are here, a job. We need to preach the gospel until Christ returns – which can happen at any time.
As a person who is about to catch a plane and remembers that he needs to buy gifts for those he loves, he has no time for any other distractions. Think of that person’s anxiety about coming home, telling them about the trip and delivering the gifts. So we are, about to meet Christ, we need to take the message of salvation to those we love and, we have little time for that, so we need to get our hands dirty and start now.
See what Jeremiah speaks (in the name of God) to those Jews who were imprisoned as slaves in the land of Babylon without any hope. Jeremiah 29: 4-14
“Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, to all those in captivity, whom I have taken from Jerusalem to Babylon: Build houses and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat its fruit. Take women and father sons and daughters, and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may have sons and daughters; and multiply there, and do not diminish yourself. And seek the peace of the city, to which I have taken you captive, and pray for it to the Lord; because in your peace you will have peace. For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets in your midst deceive you, or your diviners, or listen to your dreams, which you dream; Because they prophesy to you falsely in my name; I did not send them, says the Lord. For thus saith the LORD: Surely after seventy years in Babylon, I will visit you, and will fulfill my good word upon you, bringing you back to this place. For I know the thoughts I have about you, says the Lord; thoughts of peace, not evil, to give you the end you hope for. Then you will call on me and go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek me, and you will find me, when you seek me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, says the Lord, and I will bring your captives back and gather you from all nations, and from all places to which I have thrown you, says the Lord, and will bring you back to the place of where I transported you. “
I believe that this way we can overcome depression.
