Quando o homem se volta para Deus, o bem vence mesmo em cenários difíceis. O bem não vence pela força humana, mas pela ação de Deus na história. Veja o que diz 2ª Crônicas 7:14 “Se o meu povo, que se chama pelo meu nome, se humilhar, e orar, e buscar a minha face, e se converter dos seus maus caminhos, então eu ouvirei dos céus, perdoarei os seus pecados e sararei a sua terra.”.
Por outro lado, quando o homem vira as costas para Deus e se entrega ao pecado e à destruição, Deus permite que o mal domine por um tempo. Isso não significa que Deus perdeu o controle, o sofrimento se torna um instrumento para despertar o coração do pecador. Veja Romanos 1:28 “E, como eles não se importaram de ter conhecimento de Deus, assim Deus os entregou a um sentimento perverso, para fazerem coisas que não convêm.”.
No final Cristo vencerá de forma absoluta e definitiva. A Bíblia ensina que Jesus tem a primazia em todas as coisas e que Sua vitória será completa, sem esforço algum. Does Evil Always Win?
“… having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” – Colossians 2:15
When a person turns to God, good prevails even in difficult circumstances. Good does not win by human strength, but by God’s action in history. See what Scripture says in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
On the other hand, when people turn their backs on God and give themselves over to sin and destruction, God allows evil to dominate for a time. This does not mean that God has lost control; suffering becomes an instrument to awaken the sinner’s heart. See Romans 1:28: “Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.”
In the end, Christ will win in an absolute and definitive way. The Bible teaches that Jesus has supremacy in all things and that His victory will be complete, without any effort. The destiny of evil is already sealed. See 2 Thessalonians 2:8: “Then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of His mouth and destroy by the splendor of His coming.” In Christ, good overcomes in the present and triumphs fully in the end.
Romans 12:21: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
