O que a Bíblia nos mostra sobre confiar em Deus em tempos difíceis?

“Porque necessitais de paciência, para que, depois de haverdes feito a vontade de Deus, possais alcançar a promessa.” – Hebreus 10:36

Preste bastante atenção no que Cristo diz aos discípulos sobre o que vão enfrentar aqui e quais os motivos disso:

João 15: 18-20 “Se o mundo vos odeia, sabei que, primeiro do que a vós, me odiou a mim. Se vós fôsseis do mundo, o mundo amaria o que era seu, mas porque não sois do mundo, antes eu vos escolhi do mundo, por isso é que o mundo vos odeia. Lembrai-vos da palavra que vos disse: Não é o servo maior do que o seu senhor. Se a mim me perseguiram, também vos perseguirão a vós; se guardaram a minha palavra, também guardarão a vossa.”.

Fomos chamados por Cristo para uma missão e não somos maiores que o nosso Senhor. Isto significa que aqui enfrentaremos aflições mas, veja o que diz nestes dois versículos abaixo que responde a muitas das nossas perguntas sobre o que fazer durante este tempo:

  • “Não andeis ansiosos por coisa alguma; em tudo, porém, sejam conhecidas diante de Deus as vossas petições, pela oração e pela súplica, com ações de graças.” – Filipenses 4:6 (Fale com Deus em oração).
  • “Sabemos que todas as coisas cooperam para o bem daqueles que amam a Deus, daqueles que são chamados segundo o seu propósito.” – Romanos 8:28 (Confie que Deus fará a parte dEle sempre!).

Por fim, é importante saber que a bíblia orienta como ter fé. A fé vem pelo ouvir a Palavra de Deus. Neste sentido a leitura da bíblia e a oração diárias são fundamentais neste processo.

What does the Bible show us about trusting God in difficult times?

“For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.” – Hebrews 10:36

Pay close attention to what Christ says to the disciples about what they will face here and the reasons for it:

John 15:18-20 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also.”

We have been called by Christ for a mission and we are not greater than our Lord. This means that here we will face afflictions, but see what these two verses below say, which answer many of our questions about what to do during this time:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” – Philippians 4:6 (Talk to God in prayer).
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28 (Trust that God will always do His part!).

Finally, it is important to know that the Bible instructs us how to have faith. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. In this sense, daily Bible reading and prayer are essential in this process.
