Quais as Características do Anticristo de Acordo com a Bíblia?

“Filhinhos, é já a última hora; e, como ouvistes que vem o anticristo, também agora muitos se têm feito anticristos; por onde conhecemos que é já a última hora.” – 1ª João 2:18

A bíblia mostra 5 características importantes sobre o anticristo:

  1. Negará a Cristo e enganará a muitos.

“Quem é o mentiroso, senão aquele que nega que Jesus é o Cristo? Este é o anticristo, que nega o Pai e o Filho.” – 1ª João 2:22. Ele vai negar a identidade de Jesus como Filho de Deus e enganar pessoas com mentiras.

  1. Será um opositor e usurpador.

“O qual se opõe e se levanta contra tudo o que se chama Deus ou se adora, de sorte que se assentará como Deus, no templo de Deus, querendo parecer Deus.” – 2ª Tessalonicenses 2:4. Tentará tomar o lugar de Deus, exigindo adoração.

  1. Trará sinais e prodígios enganosos

“A vinda do iníquo é segundo a eficácia de Satanás, com todo o poder, e sinais e prodígios de mentira.” – 2ª Tessalonicenses 2:9. Vai realizar milagres falsos para enganar multidões.

  1. Será um líder poderoso (a Besta)

Em Apocalipse 13, é descrita a Besta que sobe do mar, recebendo poder do dragão (satanás).

  1. Será instrumento de Satanás

Sua força e autoridade vêm do inimigo: “E o dragão deu-lhe o seu poder, o seu trono e grande autoridade.” – Apocalipse 13:2.

Por fim, acredito que os salvos não estarão mais aqui quando iniciar o pequeno reinado do anticristo sobre a terra. Outra coisa importante a saber é que Cristo destruirá o anticristo com apenas um sopro como vemos em 2ª Tessalonicenses 2:8 “E então será revelado esse iníquo, a quem o Senhor desfará pelo sopro da sua boca, e aniquilará pelo esplendor da sua vinda.”.

What Are the Characteristics of the Antichrist According to the Bible?

“Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.” – 1 John 2:18

The Bible shows 5 important characteristics about the Antichrist:

He will deny Christ and deceive many.
“Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.” – 1 John 2:22.
He will deny the identity of Jesus as the Son of God and deceive people with lies.

He will be an opponent and usurper.
“Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:4.
He will try to take the place of God, demanding worship.

He will bring deceptive signs and wonders.
“The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:9.
He will perform false miracles to deceive multitudes.

He will be a powerful leader (the Beast).
In Revelation 13, the Beast that rises from the sea is described, receiving power from the dragon (Satan).

  • He will receive authority for a time (Revelation 13:5-7);

  • He will be worshiped by many (Revelation 13:8);

  • He will persecute the saints (Revelation 13:7).

He will be an instrument of Satan.
His strength and authority come from the enemy: “The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.” – Revelation 13:2.

Finally, I believe that the saved will no longer be here when the short reign of the Antichrist begins on earth. Another important thing to know is that Christ will destroy the Antichrist with just a breath, as we see in 2 Thessalonians 2:8:
“And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.”
