“Se dissermos que não temos pecado, enganamo-nos a nós mesmos, e não há verdade em nós.” – 1ª João 1:8
Todos os cristãos no mundo são pecadores inclusive este que escreve agora. Isso não significa que não devemos lutar constantemente contra os desejos da carne. A bíblia nos ensina a fugir dos desejos pois se os enfrentarmos diretamente vamos cair.
O que fazer então? Veja na sequência o que a bíblia ensina:
- Confesse a Deus: 1ª João 1:9 “Se confessarmos os nossos pecados, ele é fiel e justo para nos perdoar os pecados, e nos purificar de toda a injustiça.”;
- Renove sua mente lendo a bíblia diariamente: Filipenses 4:8 “Quanto ao mais, irmãos, tudo o que é verdadeiro, honesto, justo, puro, amável, de boa fama, se há alguma virtude, e se há algum louvor, nisso pensai.“;
- Novas Atitudes: Filipenses 4:9 “O que também aprendestes, e recebestes, e ouvistes, e vistes em mim, isso fazei; e o Deus de paz será convosco.”;
- Ore sempre: Filipenses 4:6 “Não estejais ansiosos por coisa alguma; antes os vossos pedidos sejam em tudo conhecidos diante de Deus pela oração e súplica, com ação de graças.”.

I Am a Christian but I Still Sin — What Should I Do?
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” – 1 John 1:8
All Christians in the world are sinners, including the one writing this now. This does not mean we should stop fighting against the desires of the flesh. The Bible teaches us to flee from sinful desires because if we try to face them directly, we will fall.
So what should we do? See what the Bible teaches:

Confess to God: 1 John 1:9 — “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Renew your mind by reading the Bible daily: Philippians 4:8 — “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honest, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think on these things.”

New attitudes: Philippians 4:9 — “Whatever you have learned, received, heard, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”

Pray always: Philippians 4:6 — “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
By doing these four things, victory will come in the name of Jesus and for the glory of God.
