Lúcifer foi lançado fora de sua posição de querubim da guarda, deixando de ser Lúcifer (portador da luz) para se tornar satanás (adversário). Was Lucifer Cast Out of Heaven?
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” – Revelation 12:9
Lucifer was cast out of his position as a guardian cherub, ceasing to be Lucifer (bearer of light) and becoming Satan (adversary). But he is not prevented from acting, and the Bible shows that he and his demons operate in the heavenly realms. For this reason, we must fight in prayer in the following way:
Ephesians 6:11–12 – “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in heavenly places.”
The Bible records other moments that show Satan’s “freedom” to move about the earth. In the book of Job, when God asks where Satan comes from, he answers that he has been roaming the earth. Another example is when he tempted Jesus in the wilderness. Yet another is the serpent in Eden.
Regardless of that, we have God’s protection for defense (Heavenly Armor – Ephesians 6) and we also have the role of attack through prayer, reading, and using the Word of God (Sword of the Spirit). Therefore, follow what is written in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 — “Pray without ceasing.”
