“Em verdade vos digo que não passará esta geração sem que todas estas coisas aconteçam.” – Mateus 24:34

“This Generation Will Not Pass”? Which Generation?
“Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.” – Matthew 24:34
The context here is the end times, and the generation Christ refers to is the generation in which all the events described in Matthew chapter 24 take place.
These events are: false Christs; wars and rumors of wars; famines, pestilences, and earthquakes; persecution and betrayal among Christians; false prophets; the increase of lawlessness; the growing coldness of many hearts; and the preaching of the gospel throughout the whole world.
Of the items listed, I believe there are still only a few places where the gospel has not yet been preached. Therefore, I believe we are the last generation to which this verse refers.
Therefore, let us do as Isaiah 55:6 instructs: “Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.”
