Where Is the Revival That Was Promised?
“And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.” – Joel 2:28
This promise of revival was reaffirmed in Luke and fulfilled in Acts. See the reaffirmation of the promise in Luke 24:49: “And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. But stay in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.”
And see its fulfillment in Acts 2:15–17: “For these men are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: ‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.’”
