“Não me escolhestes vós a mim, mas EU VOS ESCOLHI a vós, e vos nomeei, para que vades e deis fruto, e o vosso fruto permaneça; …” – João 15:16
O governo que Deus instituiu foi a teocracia (governo de Deus) e não a democracia (governo dos homens). Para esta conclusão basta ler o antigo testamento. A humanidade se voltou contra Deus e ele nos enviou a Cristo. Deus como soberano poderia ter nos destruído mas, decidiu nos dar uma segunda chance.
É verdade que Deus nos deu o livre arbítrio, mas ninguém aceita a Cristo por vontade própria ou escolha “democrática“, porque o homem natural tem aversão a Deus. Veja o que diz em Romanos 3:10 e 11 ” … Não há um justo, nem um sequer. Não há ninguém que entenda; Não há NINGUÉM QUE BUSQUE A DEUS.”. Se o poder de escolha e o poder de decisão fosse nosso, estaríamos perdidos.
Até o fato de buscarmos a Deus está ligado a soberania dEle:
- João 6:37 “Todo aquele que O PAI ME DÁ, esse virá a mim; e o que vem a mim, de modo nenhum o lançarei fora.”.
- Efésios 1:4 “Como também NOS ELEGEU NELE antes da fundação do mundo, …”.
Deus não é democrático, Ele é amor!

Is God Democratic?
“You did not choose Me, but I CHOSE YOU and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain…” – John 15:16
The government that God instituted was Theocracy (the government of God) and not democracy (the government of men). To reach this conclusion, one only needs to read the Old Testament. Humanity turned against God, and He sent us Christ. As Sovereign, God could have destroyed us, but He decided to give us a second chance.
It is true that God gave us free will, but no one accepts Christ of their own volition or through a “democratic” choice, because the natural man has an aversion to God. See what it says in Romans 3:10 and 11: “… There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is NONE WHO SEEKS AFTER GOD.” If the power of choice and the power of decision were ours, we would be lost.
