A morte dos Apóstolos não é completamente descrita na bíblia, pois o foco principal da narrativa bíblica é Jesus. A descrição da morte dos discípulos de Cristo, tem como fonte principal livros apócrifos, ou seja, que não são divinamente inspirados, bem como, relatos históricos da época.

• João – Exilado na ilha de Patmos, morreu de causas naturais em Éfeso

• Bartolomeu – Esfolado vivo e crucificado
• Mateus – Decapitado
• Tomé – Cortado ao meio
• Tiago filho de Zebedeu – Decapitado
• Tiago Filho de Alfeu – Apedrejado até a morte
• Judas Tadeu – Morto a golpes de lança, machado e porrete
• Judas Iscariotes – Tentativa de suicídio
• Matias – (substituto de Judas Iscariotes) – Apedrejamento e decapitação
• Paulo – Decapitado (executado em Roma)
Todos eles sabiam o que os esperava em vida e, sabiam também que haveriam de herdar a vida eterna. A bíblia fala algo muito importante sobre eles em Hebreus 11:36-38 “experimentaram escárnios e açoites, e até cadeias e prisões. Foram apedrejados, serrados, tentados, mortos ao fio da espada; andaram vestidos de peles de ovelhas e de cabras, desamparados, aflitos e maltratados (Dos quais o mundo não era digno) …”. Pela coragem deles e misericórdia do Senhor, o mundo todo recebeu o evangelho de Cristo.

How Did Christ's Apostles Die?
We read in the bible in Matthew 10:16
“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves; therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.”
The death of the Apostles is not fully described in the bible, as the main focus of the biblical narrative is Jesus. The description of the death of Christ’s disciples has as its main source apocryphal books, that is, which are not divinely inspired, as well as historical accounts of the time.

• André – Tortured and crucified on an X-shaped cross
• John – Exiled on the island of Patmos, died of natural causes in Ephesus
• Philip – Tortured and crucified
• Bartholomew – Skinned alive and crucified
• Mateus – Beheaded
• Tome – Cut in half
• James son of Zebedee – Beheaded
• Tiago Filho de Alfeu – Stoned to death
• Judas Tadeu – Killed by spear, ax and club
• Judas Iscariot – Suicide attempt
• Matthias – (substitute for Judas Iscariot) – Stoning and beheading
• Paul – Beheaded (executed in Rome)
They all knew what awaited them in life, and they also knew that they would inherit eternal life. The bible says something very important about them in Hebrews 11:36-38 “they experienced mockery and scourging, and even chains and prisons. They were stoned, sawn apart, tempted, slain with the sword; they walked around in sheepskins and goatskins, forsaken, afflicted and abused (Of which the world was not worthy)…”. Through their courage and the Lord’s mercy, the whole world received the gospel of Christ.

Jízhe tāmen de yǒngqì hé zhǔ de liánmǐn, quán shìjiè dōu jiēshòule jīdū de fúyīn.
