“Dois pesos diferentes e duas espécies de medida são abominação ao Senhor, tanto um como outro.”
Acreditamos que a igreja primitiva era pura, isto é, a igreja que iniciou após a morte e ressurreição de Jesus Cristo não havia se contaminado de início. Não havia templo, as pessoas se reuniam nas praças e nas casas. Mas como todo e qualquer movimento que envolve pessoas, é sujeito a corrupção.
A corrupção da igreja primitiva não era uma realidade até que o cristianismo começou a se espalhar pelo mundo de forma extraordinária. Após o ano 300 D.C. o Imperador Romano Constantino, com vistas a fortalecer o império e não desabar diante das investidas dos bárbaros, precisou de mais soldados pois já não podia proteger suas fronteiras e, num despertar de sagacidade intentou abraçar o cristianismo como religião oficial do império. Desta forma poderia usar os cristãos para manter e até expandir seu território.
Constantino sugeriu o concílio de Nicéia, no qual os principais nomes do cristianismo na época foram chamados para estudar e debater acerca dos escritos canônicos (divinamente inspirados) para consolidarem todos num Biblon (conjunto de livros) que, mais tarde fora chamado de Bíblia. Os livros considerados apócrifos (sem inspiração divina) foram deixados de fora.
Com a oficialização do cristianismo no império ficou fácil para Constantino aumentar a proteção de Roma e seu território com a adesão dos soldados cristãos. Para que os demais cidadãos romanos introduzissem no cristianismo, o paganismo das outras religiões. Após isto ter sido permitido, o cristianismo enfrentou a corrupção de dentro pra fora.
Mas é importante saber que Jesus Cristo não veio implementar o cristianismo e sim o seu reino, então, ainda que venhamos a ser perseguidos e atacados, nossos corações e mentes devem se manter em Cristo.

How did the Church become corrupted?
We read in the Bible in Proverbs 20:10
“Two different weights and two kinds of measurement are an abomination to the Lord, both one and the other.”
We believe that the early church was pure, that is, the church that started after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ had not been contaminated in the beginning. There was no temple, people gathered in the squares and in the houses. But like any movement involving people, it is subject to corruption.
The corruption of the early church was not a reality until Christianity began to spread across the world in an extraordinary way. After the year 300 AD, the Roman Emperor Constantine, in order to strengthen the empire and not to collapse in the face of the barbarian attacks, needed more soldiers because he could no longer protect his borders and, in an awakening of wit, tried to embrace Christianity as the official religion of the empire. Constantine suggested the council of Nicaea, in which the main names of Christianity at the time were called to study and debate about the canonical writings (divinely inspired) to consolidate them all into a Biblon (set of books) that was later called the Bible. Jūn shì tǎn dīng jiànyì chénglì ní xī yà lǐshì huì, zhàojí dāngshí jīdūjiào de zhǔyào míngchēng lái yánjiū hé biànlùn guīfàn zhùzuò (shòudào shén de qǐfā), yǐ jiāng qí quánbù hébìng wèi hòulái bèi chēng wèi shèngjīng de “shèngjīng”. Bèi rènwéi shì wěi jīng de shū (méiyǒu shénshèng de línggǎn) bèi páichú zàiwài.
Suízhe dìguó zhǔyì jīdūjiào de zhèngshì huà, jūn shì tǎn dīng hěn róngyì tōngguò jiārù jīdūjiào shìbīng lái zēngjiā duì luómǎ jí qí lǐngtǔ de bǎohù. Wèile shǐ qítā luómǎ gōngmín jiāng yìjiào cóng qítā zōngjiào chuán rù jīdūjiào. Zài zhè bèi yǔnxǔ zhīhòu, jīdūjiào cóng nèi dào wài dōu miànlínzhe fǔbài.
Dànshì zhòngyào de shì yào zhīdào, yēsū jīdū bùshì lái shíxíng jīdūjiào, ér shì yào shíxíng tā de guódù, yīncǐ, jíshǐ wǒmen jiāng shòudào pòhài hé gōngjí, wǒmen de xīnlíng yě bìxū liú zài jīdū lǐ.

Wǒmen kěyǐ suíshí jìnrù shén de tóng zài, ér wèntí shì: Nín zhǔnbèi hǎole ma? Nín shìfǒu céngjīng xiāngxìn jīdū shì nín wéiyī hè chōngfèn de jiùshìzhǔ? Yīnwèi zhè yīdìng shì nín zuìdà de dānyōu.
