“Amarás o teu próximo como a ti mesmo.”
Quem nunca fez aquelas famosas promessas de fim de ano? Vou emagrecer, vou tratar melhor as pessoas, vou trabalhar mais, vou estudar, etc. Quem também nunca fez uma promessa a Deus de que iria ajudar as pessoas se ganhasse na loteria? O interessante é que as pessoas ficam frustradas se não ganham na loteria porque “se comprometeram” que iriam ajudar as pessoas. Ora, se você não ajuda as pessoas com o pouco que tem, quanto mais quando ganhar muito, ai é que não ajudará mesmo.
Normalmente nossas prioridades mudam muito rápido quando tem muito dinheiro envolvido. Suponhamos que você ganhou na loteria acumulada e do dia pra noite passa a ser dono de dezenas de milhões de reais. As primeiras coisas que passam na mente das pessoas é sair para comprar aquilo que “precisam muito”. Vão na imobiliária comprar aquela casa dos sonhos. Vão na concessionária comprar aquele carrão importado. Vão ao shopping comprar tudo o que querem e experimentar uma situação que, provavelmente nunca passariam se não tivessem tanto dinheiro. Depois vem o sonho de realizar aquelas viagens internacionais, levar os filhos pra Disney, depois visitar as pirâmides do Egito ou fazer um cruzeiro marítimo.
Agora eu te pergunto, aonde estão aquelas pessoas que você “queria tanto” ajudar? Elas estão na mesma, e continuarão precisando da sua ajuda. No meio dos parques da Disney você nunca vai pensar nelas. Em meio as compras no shopping seus olhos não terão tempo para outra coisa senão desejar o que você pode comprar. Aprendi com a bíblia a ser fiel no pouco e Deus me colocará sobre o muito.

Are We Helping Our Neighbor?
We read in the bible in Matthew 22:39
“You will love your neighbor as yourself.”
Who has never made those famous holiday promises? I will lose weight, I will treat people better, I will work harder, I will study, etc. Who also never made a promise to God that he would help people if he won the lottery? The interesting thing is that people get frustrated if they don’t win the lottery because they “pledged” that they would help people. Now, if you do not help people with what little you have, how much more when you earn a lot, then it will not help you at all.
Usually our priorities change very quickly when there is a lot of money involved. Suppose you won the accumulated lottery and overnight you own tens of millions of reais. The first things that go through people’s minds is to go out and buy what they “really need”. They go to the real estate agency to buy that dream house. Go to the dealership to buy that imported big car. They go to the mall to buy everything they want and experience a situation that they would probably never have had if they didn’t have that much money. Then comes the dream of making those international trips, taking the kids to Disney, then visiting the pyramids in Egypt or taking a sea cruise.
Now I ask you, where are those people that you “wanted so badly” to help? They are the same, and will continue to need your help. In the middle of Disney parks you will never think of them. In the middle of shopping at the mall, your eyes will have no time for anything other than wanting what you can buy. I learned from the bible to be faithful in the little and God will put me on the much.

Shuí yě cóng wèi xiàng shàngdì bǎozhèngguò, rúguǒ tā zhōngle cǎipiào, tā huì bāngzhù biérén de? Yǒuqù de shì, rúguǒ rénmen bù zhòngjiǎng, jiù huì gǎndào jǔsàng, yīnwèi tāmen “shìyán” tāmen huì bāngzhù rénmen. Xiànzài, rúguǒ nín bù bāng biérén zhuàn duōshǎo qián, duō zhuàn duōshǎo qián, nà jiāng gēnběn wújìyúshì.
Tōngcháng, dāng shèjí dào dàliàng zījīn shí, wǒmen de yōuxiān jí huì kuàisù biànhuà. Jiǎshè nín yíngdéle lěijī de cǎipiào, bìngqiě zài yīyè zhī jiān nín yǒngyǒu shù qiān wàn léi yà ěr. Rénmen shǒuxiān xiǎngdào de shì wàichū gòumǎi tāmen “zhēnzhèng xūyào” de dōngxī. Tāmen qù fángdìchǎn zhōngjiè mǎi nà suǒ mèngxiǎng zhōng de fángzi. Qù jīngxiāo shāng nàlǐ mǎi nà liàng jìnkǒu de dà chē. Tāmen qù shāngchǎng mǎile suǒyǒu xiǎng yào de dōngxī, yù dào liǎo rúguǒ méiyǒu nàme duō qián de qíngkuàng, tāmen kěnéng yǒngyuǎn bù huì yù dào de qíngkuàng. Ránhòu jiùshì shíxiàn nàxiē guójì lǚxíng de mèngxiǎng, dài háizimen qù dísīní, ránhòu cānguān āijí de jīnzìtǎ huò chéng hǎishàng xúnyóu.
Xiànzài wǒ wèn nǐ, nàxiē nǐ “rúcǐ kěwàng” bāngzhù de rén zài nǎlǐ? Tāmen shì xiāngtóng de, bìngqiě jiāng jìxù xūyào nín de bāngzhù. Zài dísīní gōngyuán de zhōngjiān, nín jiāng yǒngyuǎn bù huì xiǎngdào tāmen. Zài gòuwù zhòng xīn gòuwù de guòchéng zhōng, chúle xiǎng yào gòumǎi shénme zhī wài, nín de yǎnjīng jiāng wúxiá gùjí. Wǒ cóng shèngjīng zhōngxué dàole duì xiǎoshì zhōngxīn, shàngdì huì bǎ wǒ fàng zài dàshì shàng.

Wǒmen kěyǐ suíshí jìnrù shén de tóng zài, ér wèntí shì: Nín zhǔnbèi hǎole ma? Nín shìfǒu céngjīng xiāngxìn jīdū shì nín wéiyī hè chōngfèn de jiùshìzhǔ? Yīnwèi zhè yīdìng shì nín zuìdà de dānyōu.
